Spotlight on Our TISS Alumni: The Bright Sparks Driving Medium’s Success

At Medium Healthcare Consulting, we’re proud to have a strong cohort of talented professionals who earned their Master of Hospital Administration (MHA) from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). These individuals bring a unique blend of rigorous academic training and practical insights that enrich our team and elevate our impact.

Our TISS alumni include Ruchi Dixit, Dr. Chandan Bhasin, Vishwas Srivastava, Gourav Sinha, and many others who have played vital roles across our projects and functions. Their deep understanding of healthcare management, combined with hands-on experience gained during their time at TISS, equips them to solve complex challenges with creativity and precision.

Beyond the Day Job: Meet Dr. Chandan Bhasin

At Medium Healthcare Consulting, we recognize that behind every insightful analysis, strategic recommendation, and detailed presentation is an individual with unique passions and perspectives. It’s this rich blend of personal interests that fuels our collaborative and dynamic team culture.

In our “Beyond the Day Job” series, we share the stories that bring our colleagues to life beyond their professional roles. Today, meet Dr. Chandan Bhasin.

When he’s not navigating complex healthcare projects, Chandan pursues a fascinating array of interests—collecting historical coins, exploring science fiction, gaming across alternate realities, and traveling to new destinations. As he puts it:

“Collecting coins is more than a hobby—it’s a way to connect with history. Holding a Mauryan punch-marked coin from 300 BC or a medieval Chola-era piece is like a personal time machine, taking me to eras long past. My collection spans British, French, and Dutch colonial coins, as well as rare finds from places like Vanuatu and French Polynesia—because history is everywhere, and so should my collection be.

Science fiction fuels my imagination about the future, with authors like Asimov, Philip K. Dick, and Cixin Liu challenging my perspective on technology, AI, and what lies beyond our world.

Gaming offers a unique escape, from negotiating intergalactic diplomacy in Mass Effect to adventuring in Zelda, battling foes in Halo, or even chasing Pokémon (including the cardio- friendly Pokémon Go). It’s a way to explore countless worlds beyond reality.

Travel has broadened my horizons, letting me collect experiences and memories alongside my coin collection.

And yes, I have a penchant for puns—it’s part of my cultural DNA as a proud Punjabi. Between consulting, collecting, and cracking puns, life remains wonderfully full and engaging.”

Dr. Chandan’s story reminds us that our team’s diverse interests and personalities are what make Medium a vibrant place to work—where expertise meets curiosity, and passion fuels purpose.
